Aimée has shied away from confirming the rumours (of forming a band and signing to EastWest Records) - saying she is too busy concentrating on the forthcoming Popstars: The Rivals tours to worry about signing record deals.
''There is a lot of guessing going on at the moment,'' she said.
''It is a possibilty but nothing has been decided. Forming a band is just one option. We are concentrating on the tour but there is a lot of hype to deal with. We are really just keeping our options open.''
The option of forming a band, however, seems increasingly likely. Only last November, Aimée told the Visitor: ''We have all been in touch and forming a band is something we all want.''

There has been talk in the press recently of four former Popstars: The Rivals finalists Aimée Kearsley, Emma Beard, Linzi Brown and Chloe Staines forming a band to challenge current chart-toppers Girls Aloud. The four spent a full afternoon the other week at EastWest records in London (home to David Gray and Blazin' Squad)
They were locked in talks with the label's talent scouts and within months could be in a chart battle with their rivals Girls Aloud.  A source said: "Emaa, Chloe, Aimee and Linzi were trying to look inconspicuous, but everyone who saw them enter the building knew who they were. EastWest are clearly hoping to close a deal with the girls.
"The four of them were locked in a meeting room with senior executives for a few hours. They left with smiles all over their faces." Thank goodness for that. Many of the girls - most memorably 17 year old Aimee Kearsley - ended up in floods of tears after they were ditched from the reality TV show via a "designed-to-devastate" eviction system.
Linzi, 19, from Manchester, was the first girl to be booted off, back at the end of October. She failed to wow viewers when she sang Lisa Stansfield's All Around The World in a pai of shoes which were, rather noticeably several sizes too big for her.
Northampton lass Emma and Essex girl Chloe were given the big heave-ho at the semi-final stage in November. They bonded in the bar afterwards and took advice from their new found chums Dane Bowers and Hayley Evetts, on how to carve out a career in pop.
The following week Aimee, a favourite of judge Louis Walsh, became the penultimate girl to miss out on a chance to be in Girls Aloud and she too, joined the rival band, who haven't yet decided on a name.
Now that Liberty X have proved that cast-offs really can become chart-toppers themselves, there is no telling just how far the new popstars quartet may go. But one thing is certain - it will take a helluva lot of singing to drown out the success of Girls Aloud.
